If you’re the type who loves the thrill of discovery, Es Portitxol is your kind of place. This tiny cove feels like it belongs in a pirate’s treasure map.

Reaching it isn’t straightforward. So, expect a hike through pine forests and a bit of scrambling down rocky terrain. Remember, that’s all part of the adventure.

Once you arrive, the setting is pure magic. The water is so clear you can spot schools of fish without even putting on a snorkel. Most people never make it this far, meaning you might have the entire place to yourself.

If you’ve ever wanted to press pause on the world, this is the place to do it.

2. Cala Llentrisca

Cala Llentrisca feels like a secret whispered among locals. This remote bay remains blissfully untouched by Ibiza’s usual tourism frenzy. There are no road signs leading here, no music blaring from nearby chiringuitos, just a narrow footpath winding down to one of the most peaceful coves on the island.

The sea is so calm, that it’s perfect for long, lazy swims where time hits snooze.

It’s the kind of place where you bring a book, a picnic, and an appreciation for the art of doing absolutely nothing.

3. Punta Galera

Yes, Ibiza’s beaches are stunning!  But Punta Galera is something entirely different.

Instead of sand, you get a surreal landscape of smooth rock terraces, shaped by nature into perfect sunbathing platforms. It’s a geological masterpiece, and it feels like an exclusive sunbather’s club. Only requirement necessary; to know it exists!

The atmosphere is special! Somehow both social and deeply peaceful, like an unspoken agreement to respect the peacefulness of the place.

Pack a picnic, bring plenty of water, and stay for the sunset!

4. Cala d’Albarca

There are easy beaches, and then there’s Cala d’Albarca. This is a place that makes you earn every bit of its beauty

It’s only accessible via a rugged hike through the forest. But, don’t let this be the reason why you don’t go! It would be a terrible mistake.

It’s the kind of place that feels untouched by time, where nature still reigns supreme. The bay itself is breathtaking. One of the most striking features is a natural stone bridge arching over the bay. Daredevil explorers, this one is for you!

Just wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water! There’s no turning back once you start the descent!

5. Ses Balandres

Sometimes I feel some places feel like they were designed to stay secret! Ses Balandres is one of them, for sure!

This isolated cove near Santa Agnès is so hard to reach that many locals have never even been. The descent down is not for the faint of heart! It involves steep paths, loose rocks, and even a rope-assisted climb down the final stretch.

But once you make it, you’ll understand why the effort is worth it. If you want to tell a travel story that no one else has, this is your spot. Just be prepared to climb your way back up when you’re done swimming!

6. Cala Olivera

Cala Olivera is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve won the beach jackpot. It’s small, quiet, and hidden behind a winding dirt road near Roca Llisa.

The fact that it’s a little tricky to find keeps it blissfully free from crowds, even in peak season. It’s a perfect blend of golden sand and smooth rock

And then, there’s a tiny, laid-back chiringuito (beach shack) nearby that serves up ice-cold drinks, making it easy to settle in for an entire day of seaside relaxation.

Show up early, claim a prime spot, and let the day drift by.

7. Es Canaret

Tucked into a cove near Portinatx, Es Canret was once privately owned, making it one of the least-visited beaches on the island.

The only way in is a hike, but the effort pays off the moment you see the shoreline and impossibly clear water stretching before you.

Gentle waves lap against a rocky coast, and the water is so transparent you can count the pebbles on the seabed.

The few visitors who find their way here tend to whisper, as if speaking too loudly might disturb the serenity.

8. Cala Llarga

Cala Llarga doesn’t make it easy for you, but that’s the whole point.

The descent down a rocky path is not for flip-flops, but once you reach the bottom, you’ll understand why this hidden cove remains blissfully under the radar.

Unlike its more famous neighbor, Cala Salada, there are no packed sunbathing spots or loud beach clubs here. Instead, you get smooth, sun-warmed stones underfoot and absolute quiet, broken only by the sound of waves.

The swimming here is incredible! Deep, clear waters and zero boat traffic make it feel like a private lagoon. Just please, remember to bring water shoes. I know why I’m saying this!

9. Sa Figuera Borda

Sa Figuera Borda equals the most spectacular swimming spots on the island.

You won’t find soft sand here, but what you will find is something straight out of an adventure novel: a massive rock arch framing an opening to the sea, where deep blue water crashes into limestone walls.

Cliff divers love this place, and for good reason. The drop into the water is exhilarating, and the underwater world below is even more impressive. Even if you’re not one for heights, the natural rock shelves make for ideal sunbathing platforms. Tan away, my friend!

So, if you’re looking for a spot that feels like it belongs in a James Bond movie, this is it.

10. Platja d’es Codolar

This isn’t your typical postcard-perfect beach, and that’s exactly why it’s special. Here, instead of sunbeds and cocktail bars, you get a vast expanse of stone, sky, and sea, with waves rolling in against a backdrop of cliffs.

The water is a surreal shade of blue, perfect for a cooling swim, though getting in requires a bit of balance thanks to the smooth stones underfoot. But once you’re floating in the clear, quiet sea, it’s worth the minor challenge.

As a bonus, it’s one of the best places to watch planes land at the nearby airport. Rather than ruining the atmosphere, the sight of aircraft swooping low over the sea adds an almost futuristic edge to this otherwise timeless landscape.
